IN-HOME VETERINARY CARE

Caring for your pets in the place they love most

APPOINTMENT

We bring the care to you.

By minimizing the stress of travel, reducing the likelihood of disease transmission, and observing your pet in its natural surroundings, we are able to help maintain your companion’s optimal health and well-being. Home veterinary care is ideally suited for working professionals, busy parents, multiple pet owners, the elderly or disabled, and owners of animals that become anxious in a hospital setting. As a pet owner, you are fortunate to live in an area supported by veterinary specialty centers and 24-hour care facilities. We are privileged to work with these hospitals or your existing animal clinic to provide the most comprehensive veterinary care.

How it works:

Each pet and family are unique, and we strive to treat them as such. Because we are on the road, you will be given an estimated arrival window that is typically an hour in length. Expect the actual appointment to take anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes per pet. We want to get to know you and your family inside and out and appreciate flexibility in scheduling. Emergencies occasionally arise or we experience travel delays, and we will do our best to let you know if our arrival window changes.

Our Mission and Purpose

Our mission is to celebrate life and the human-animal bond. We do that through exceptional veterinary care in the place pets love most, their home.

We live out our purpose by prioritizing care for our employees, our clients, and our patients.

By creating a work environment that fosters acceptance, love, vulnerability, and continuous growth for our employees, we are better able to take care of our own wellbeing so we can show up every day prepared and excited to take care of our patients.

When our team is cared for, we are better able to service our clients and their pets. We pride ourselves on providing kind, empathic, excellent, and comprehensive veterinary care. We love our clients just as much as we love their pets. We understand that the success of our treatment plans directly correlate to how much we educate and work together with our clients on understanding the needs of their pets.

We could not accomplish our goal without our clients being with us every step of the way and witnessing as much of the veterinary process as possible. Therefore we pride ourselves on never leaving an owner behind.

We practice low-stress handling techniques and perform as many treatments as possible with our clients present. We work hard to reduce the stress often associated with veterinary visits so that you and your pet have less anxiety over veterinary care. We believe that transparency leads to better understanding and open communication.

By preparing and supporting our clients to be active members of the pet care team, everyone is benefitted.

Our patients benefit. Our clients benefit. We benefit.

We are changing the presence of veterinary medicine and raising the consciousness of animal lovers, one employee, one patient, and one client at a time. We welcome all.

We are The Welcome Waggin’

Our Core Values

Celebrate

At the heart of our mission is to celebrate. Life is so short, especially for our animal companions. We choose to seek joy in the ordinary and mundane, to see the beauty in the smallest details, and to take note of the
awe that is veterinary medicine and the human-animal bond. We choose to celebrate our wins, instead of breaking down on failures. We choose to celebrate the great work we are doing, the impact we are making, and the lives we are saving.

In the same respect, we choose to celebrate life lived even as we are saying goodbye.

Kindness

We practice veterinary medicine differently. It starts with the kindness we show to each and every one of our team members. We practice bravery and courage to have difficult conversations. We create an all-inclusive environment where everyone is able to share ideas and everyone participates in growth. The respect we have for each other then translates into the kindness we provide to our patients and their owners. Veterinary medicine can be so scary at times. Sick patients. Worried pet parents. We practice empathy and care deeply for all. You can see us living out this value, by us practicing our patience, staying calm, and extending a helping hand. We know our patients are often scared and nervous, sick and weak. We practice techniques and have honed our skills to communicate and treat them in the least stressful way possible.

Adaptability

In a mobile practice, plans can change by the minute. Mobile veterinary care requires constant adaptations. Our team prides ourselves on our ability to adapt to the needs of each patient in their unique home environments. We strive to provide the same level of care, attention, and time to each of our patients and we fully acknowledge and appreciate our clients’ ability to remain flexible when scheduling our services.

Community

The Welcome Waggin celebrates the ability to offer a specialized and desirable resource within our localized communities where we strive to be the standard for in-home veterinary care. We don’t just treat the pet; we build a connection with the pet’s family and work to build a community of pet families who all live, love, and understand the intimacy of the Human-Animal Bond. We practice with integrity and respect the rights, differences, and dignity of our clients, patients, and employees. We are dedicated lifelong learners who believe in sharing knowledge by offering growth opportunities to other veterinary professionals and pet families. We maintain a presence in our community by sharing with and supporting other businesses in the areas we service. We are working to help keep our community and pet populations safe and healthy.

Transparency

We make sure information is accessible to everyone and believe in abundance as opposed to scarcity. We live out this value by sharing our company’s current and future goals with all our Waggin’ team and family members. Everyone shapes the future of the company. We work alongside our pet parents throughout their pet’s treatment to make sure knowledge is shared and understood throughout care. We perform as many services as possible in the presence of the pet parent to allow for lower levels of fear and anxiety for the pet and so the pet parent can be witness to the way their pet is being treated.

Continuous Growth

Inspired by the famous quote from Andy Dufresne in Shawhsank Redemption, “Get Busy living or get busy dying”, we believe our work here on Earth is always evolving, always changing, and always growing. As practitioners of veterinary medicine, we have committed to a lifetime of learning. We want to spend our time here on this planet becoming the best versions of ourselves, pushing past fear, to go out into the world dreaming big. We live out this value through the life and professional development coaching that is provided to all employees, through the continuing education we take, and by encouraging each other to show up as the best version of ourselves daily.

We go above and beyond during every visit.

So glad we found these folks! Have been a dog owner for many years and this is the best vet experience for me and my dog! They are fantastic.

I will never be able to sing the praises enough of The Welcome Waggin. They came out for the end of life care for my 19-year-old cat. They were professional but yet the most compassionate, grace-filled team I could have asked for. They provided such a calming presence all the while clearly explaining each step as we moved along. They treated my cat with dignity all the way through the process. Thank you Welcome Waggin for everything you do.

Awesome service. Simba (our cat) was a riot to get his shots. But Doc was able to corner him in our closet. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Thanks again

DICK S.

The doctor was great! She met my very skittish kitties where they were hiding behind furniture and was able to give them exams, shots, and even clip claws. Will definitely be using their services again.
