We are able to evaluate a patient in their own habitat providing our team of doctors and technicians a renewed and previously absent perspective to veterinary care. Housecall services tend to be far less stressful than a typical veterinary visit and in-home care allows a more intimate view into our patient’s lives. We often find ourselves humbled by the ability to truly celebrate the human-animal bond with our pet-parent families.

We are a growing in-home veterinary practice that has been servicing the entire western suburbs of Chicago since 2007. We are an almost full-service veterinary practice. We provide in-home veterinary services ranging from general practice, preventative & wellness care for all life-stages, geriatric care, laboratory analysis, chronic disease management,  dermatology, chronic disease management, acupuncture and holistic care, oncology, quality-of-life comfort care, and end-of-life services. We refer to traditional veterinary facilities for sedation/surgical procedures, most diagnostic imaging, and emergency services.

Full Job Description: 

We are seeking to add a Customer Service Receptionist to our team. You’ll be scheduled at our on-site office location in Oswego, IL while working in coordination with our Practice Manager, Office Technician, and Travel Team. You will be the first point of contact with our clients but you’ll be doing so much more than answering phones. You will be able to regularly share our story and passion. You’ll be actively participating in the coordination of care for our patients. You’ll be facilitating seamless care between our Office and Travel Teams. You will be laying the foundation for our entire team to build strong bonds and lasting relationships with our clients.

Responsibilities include greeting and responding to our clients as they reach out to us through phone, text, and email. You’ll be responsible for getting our clients the support they are seeking as you triage calls to our doctor team and patient care coordinator, schedule appointments, maintain precise and detailed client/patient records, assist with filling prescriptions, communicate frequently with our team, engage in social media marketing efforts, help maintain inventory, process payments, reconcile daily transactions, participate in team meetings, and various other administrative tasks vital for the consistent and seamless workflow of the practice. Occasionally you may be asked to accompany the travel team with housecalls.

The ideal candidate would be familiar with and have a passion for the veterinary industry, have basic computer skills, is well-organized and task-oriented, has strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The candidate is passionate about and dedicated to building lasting relationships with our clients and their pets. Additionally, the candidate absolutely has to be a team-player with lots of positive energy who likes to have fun and who loves animals AND humans.

Schedule:

8-10 hour shifts available Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 am-7 pm; 1 weekend shift/month

COVID-19 Precautions:

We are currently performing our housecall appointments outside of the pet’s home (yard, patio, garage). We are strictly pro-active with our team’s safety and have aggressive COVID protocols in place following recommendations and observing the CDCs guidelines. Properly worn masks are mandatory for our team as well as our clients. Clients are screened prior to appointments. Once the pandemic is under better control, we will be returning to in-home veterinary care.

Full Job Description: 

Tired of feeling burned out in practice clinical settings? Are you ready to try something different and exciting in vet med? The Welcome Waggin’ In-Home Veterinary Care is seeking an experienced veterinary technician (CVT) or veterinary assistant (VA) that enjoys client education, celebrating the human-animal bond, and has a true passion for veterinary medicine.

The expectations for this position will be rotationally scheduled either on-site at our office location in Oswego, IL (Office Tech) or on-the-road with our Travel Team (Travel Tech). 

As the Office Tech, you’ll be answering phones/emails/texts, maintaining precise medical records, following up on cases and laboratory reports, filling prescriptions, scheduling, maintain precise medical record documentation, communicate frequently with our team, participate in team meetings, help maintain inventory, process payments, and various other administrative tasks vital for the consistent and seamless workflow of the practice.   

As Travel Tech, you will be the primary driver assigned to one of our doctors. Responsibilities will include technical nursing care utilizing fear-free methods, assisting in the examination, performing treatments, venipuncture, documenting in medical records, taking exam notes for the doctor, client education, billing, supporting vaccine and other preventative services, refilling medications, and billing.  

The ideal candidate would be familiar with and have a passion for the veterinary industry, have basic computer skills, is well-organized and task-oriented, has strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The candidate is passionate about and dedicated to building lasting relationships with our clients and their pets. Additionally, the candidate absolutely has to be a team-player with lots of positive energy who likes to have fun and who loves animals AND humans. 

Candidates must have a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.
